About Our Student Drop-In Center

What is a GOAL student drop-in center? It is a dedicated space designed to support GOAL High School students and families. These centers offer a welcoming, comfortable and secure environment. Our friendly staff are here to warmly assist you with academic, social-emotional or technology needs. You can connect with your academic coach, teachers, counselors and any other staff members who are eager to build relationships and help you thrive. All GOAL students are encouraged to visit any of the forty drop-in centers around the state. Come and experience the caring and personalized support we offer firsthand!

Hello! My name is Jeff Gardella; I am the Assistant Principal for GOAL High School at the Aurora Mall location. My purpose and drive are to help support you in your educational pursuit and goals. I have been in education for more than 30 years, serving students in Florida, California, and Colorado. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and stand up paddleboarding with my wife of 34 years. In addition, I have been an avid golfer for over 40 years now. I enjoy watching sports on TV and some of my favorite teams include the Denver Broncos, Nuggets, and Florida State Seminoles. I am very excited to be a part of the GOAL High School team and look forward to seeing our scholars at Aurora Mall thrive and become successful.

Hello! My name is Joe Gonzales and I am the Dean at the Brighton site. This is my 9th year with GOAL High School. I was previously in the academic coach and social emotional generalist role before becoming a Dean in the Denver Region. My purpose here is to give students every opportunity to succeed with our program and I truly believe we have the best staff in place to make that goal a reality. For fun I love watching anything Disney with my sons Noah and Max, and we especially love rooting for the Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets and Rockies!

The Aurora Mall site is located inside the Town Center at Aurora on the lower level by JC Penney. We are right next to the children’s play area (which is convenient for our teen parents!)
