About Our Student Drop-In Center

What is a GOAL student drop-in center? It is a dedicated space designed to support GOAL High School students and families. These centers offer a welcoming, comfortable and secure environment. Our friendly staff are here to warmly assist you with academic, social-emotional or technology needs. You can connect with your academic coach, teachers, counselors and any other staff members who are eager to build relationships and help you thrive. All GOAL students are encouraged to visit any of the forty drop-in centers around the state. Come and experience the caring and personalized support we offer firsthand!

Hello my name is Steve Ellis and I am the Assistant Principal for the Thornton location here in the Denver area.  I have over 30 years of experience in education, mostly as a Principal.  I am very excited to be here in Thornton with GOAL.  I am here to help my students experience the type of success that they all deserve.  Our amazing staff is uniquely qualified  to meet the needs of the students and families that we serve.  I do hope that you see fit to visit us on site and please know that we are always here to help you.

Hello! My name is Joe Gonzales and I am the Dean at the Brighton site. This is my 9th year with GOAL High School. I was previously in the academic coach and social emotional generalist role before becoming a Dean in the Denver Region. My purpose here is to give students every opportunity to succeed with our program and I truly believe we have the best staff in place to make that goal a reality. For fun I love watching anything Disney with my sons Noah and Max, and we especially love rooting for the Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets and Rockies!

The Thornton site is located just off of Thornton Parkway, between Washington and Grant. We are on the second floor of the building, but do have an elevator to assist any visitors that may need it. Please call us to schedule an appointment today!
